TS Revision Rhinoplasty

Five years ago, I had nose surgery at a local plastic surgery clinic partly to treat rhinitis, but I was left disappointed because my dorsal hump and bulbous nose were not significantly improved T_T Since I really wanted to be very careful about having nose surgery again, I looked into places with good reviews and decided to have revision surgery at TS! I had a consultation with Dr. Lee Seung-chan for revision surgery using autologous rib cartilage for my bulbous nose and dorsal hump. He said he would improve the hump and bulbous nose while also building up my nasal bridge, so we designed the bridge with a natural line that would not look overdone! The result after surgery is also much more natural and neatly defined than I had imagined, so I’m very satisfied T_T Rather than making it noticeably high, it feels like he improved it in a way that suits my face, so I really think I made the right choice in choosing the doctor!! ✌️✌️

I learned about TS through a friend’s recommendation. After consulting with Director Kim Ki-jae, I scheduled the surgery right away and had it a week later. I trusted him the most because he explained everything so well, and I could tell he had a lot of experience with rhinoplasty. He said it would be best to replace the silicone implant and use my own rib cartilage for the nasal tip. My family was very worried when they heard they would be taking cartilage from my rib and using it in my nose. However, he told me that even the autologous rib cartilage harvest could be done under sedation, that the surgery time would be kept short and efficient, and that it would therefore be less burdensome with a relatively quick recovery. Hearing about actual patients’ experiences also reassured me. I had been considering either donor rib cartilage or my own rib cartilage, so I ultimately had my revision rhinoplasty using my own rib cartilage! It also made me feel that this kind of skill really reflects a different level of expertise. After the revision rhinoplasty, I’m satisfied because there is now volume in the columella beneath my nose, the shape of my nostrils has changed, and the line from my forehead down to the tip of my nose has a very refined...? feel to it, which I like! On the day of surgery, I felt so okay that I wondered if they had really harvested my rib cartilage, but starting the next day, I strongly felt soreness and a pulling sensation in my solar plexus. Still, I thought it was manageable at this level. It has only been four months since my nose surgery, so I’ll have to wait and see, but so far I’ve been living very satisfied!!

I thought my first nose surgery had gone well, but after about two years, I developed contracture... Just thinking that I would need revision surgery really took a huge toll on me mentally. But I was told that revision surgery isn't something you should get just anywhere, so while looking into places that are good with highly complex noses, I ended up coming in for a consultation with Dr. Seungchan Lee at TS.. The doctor first explained why the contracture had occurred. He didn't say anything unnecessarily scary, and honestly explained which parts needed to be corrected again given the current condition of my nose. He didn't present autologous rib cartilage as if it were simply always good either. He said that in cases like mine, where the nasal tip support has collapsed, it is used because it is important to provide stable support again. Since he gave specific reasons, it was easy to understand. Still, he said that the line I wanted should be achievable with surgery, so I decided to go ahead with it. Now that three months have passed since the surgery and most of the swelling has gone down, a straight-to-slightly-curved line is settling into place T_T Honestly, because of the contracture, I wasn't expecting much from the result, but I was really surprised when I saw it in person. I can see why people look for a doctor with extensive experience in difficult nose surgeries.

This time, I wanted a more refined straight-to-slightly-curved bridge line, so I researched a lot of clinics. Then I had a consultation with Dr. Lee Seung-chan at TS. When I showed him photos of the nose I wanted, he did not just say that everything could be done; he honestly told me what was possible and what would be difficult with my current nose. Instead, he explained what kind of surgery would be needed to achieve the look I wanted, and after the consultation, I felt certain that this was where I should have it done!! Since it was a revision surgery, I strongly felt that this would truly be my last one T_T Rather than someone saying they would do exactly what I wanted no matter what, I actually trusted him more because he realistically explained what was possible and how certain parts could turn out. Even after scheduling the surgery, I worried a lot, but on the day of the procedure, Dr. Lee Seung-chan went over each point we had discussed before and carefully reviewed the surgical plan and design again, which reassured me. Now, I think the line has turned out well with the straight-to-slightly-curved look I wanted, so I am extremely, extremely, extremely satisfied. I used my own rib cartilage for the nasal tip, and I definitely think using rib cartilage helped the tip shape turn out well. Because of my first surgery, I was really careful when choosing a clinic this time, but after having the revision, I have often thought that I should have done it sooner and that I should have come here for my first surgery in the first place. Anyway, I am so, so satisfied, and thank you, Dr. Lee Seung-chan, for making my nose beautiful!

Since it was using my own rib cartilage, my rib area felt a little sore, and it was only uncomfortable when lying down and getting up, sitting, and sleeping.. My nose didn’t hurt at all, and I was able to breathe well through my mouth..

I had surgery about three years ago, but perhaps because of the implant, the tip of my nose gradually started turning upward, and as the shape changed too, my nose looked so unattractive that I felt I couldn’t leave it like this... He also recommended the materials well, incorporated my preferences for the nasal line, and designed it while drawing it out. Originally, I wanted a natural yet refined look, but the doctor said a slightly more glamorous look would suit my face as it is now. I thought there must be a reason for what he was recommending, so I trusted him and scheduled the surgery date right on the day of the consultation. He gave me a look between natural-refined and glamorous without being overdone, bringing out everything from the bridge to the tip of my nose, and he set the columella and nasolabial angle to fit perfectly, so it suited my face well. Since it was a revision surgery, I had a lot of stress and worries, but the doctor gave me such a clean, pretty nose that I hardly even think of my previous nose anymore, so I’m satisfied haha.

I had revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Lee Seung-chan at TS~ My first surgery was done at another clinic using ear cartilage, but as the tip started to droop, it looked like a hump nose from the side, and the tip also felt like it was sagging? T_T Honestly, you get plastic surgery because you want your nose to look prettier, but mine was getting uglier... so of course I thought I needed revision rhinoplasty. When it was time to properly look into it, the thing I considered most important was improving the shape. Naturally, I visited a lot of clinics, and TS really did not recommend unnecessary procedures, just as I had heard. There are many places that inflate the recommendations for revision surgery, but they only recommended the procedures I needed, which made me trust them and decide to have it done here. Also, my preference for not wanting anything too dramatic matched Dr. Lee Seung-chan's aesthetic sense well. I wanted exactly that natural-yet-refined nose style, and it was even better because he designed it with that look in mind. The surgery turned out exactly like the design, and I think the drooping nasal tip, which was my biggest issue, has improved well too. I had it done without an implant, and should I say it definitely feels more stable than when I had an implant? Recovery was fast, and I felt less discomfort too!!! Perhaps because Dr. Lee Seung-chan has many surgical cases, just as I had heard, and has a good aesthetic sense, he shaped it nicely into a straight-to-slightly-curved line. The natural-yet-refined nose I had imagined is exactly the nose I got from my revision surgery, so I am really satisfied. After having surgery at TS, I think I understand why people say to have surgery with a highly experienced doctor.

Other than the post-op discomfort (the splint and cotton in my nostrils), everything was great. It wasn’t painful, and the recovery was really quick.

I had revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Lee Seung-chan at TS Plastic Surgery. I underwent autologous rib cartilage grafting, cartilage suturing, correction of a long nose and dorsal hump, septal extension, and correction of a drooping nasal tip. Even after my previous nose surgery, I was stressed because I had a drooping nasal tip, so this time I had revision surgery using my own rib cartilage. The doctor personally consulted with me and addressed my insecurities as much as possible, while honestly telling me when something could not be done without overdoing it! That made him trustworthy, so I decided on TS right away without consulting anywhere else. I prefer a natural look, and he did a great job without making it look overdone.
